The School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University and the Global Commission on Internet Governance hosted a Conference on Internet Governance and Cyber-security last week. For a full conference agenda, click here.
Prof. DeNardis was asked to attend and participate in the opening panel alongside Vinton Cerf (Chief Internet Evangelist, Google) and Lawrence Strickling (Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information, US Department of Commerce). Merit E. Janow, Dean, Columbia SIPA, moderated the panel. The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) has made this video from their keynote panel available on their web site. The panel on the most pressing Internet governance and Internet fragmentation issues caught the attention of the Wall Street Journal reporter and Prof. DeNardis was quoted in the article. Columbia SIPA also made a short promotional video on the conference.
