The AU Kogod Cybersecurity Governance Center (KCGC) will host a forum entitled "Cybersecurity and Privacy: Bridging Research and Practice" on September 26, 2018 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm in the Butler Board Room on the 6th Floor of Bender Arena on the AU campus. This event aims to facilitate a conversation on how to better involve engaged scholarship in cybersecurity and privacy issues. It will feature a keynote by Joe Valacich, Chief Science Officer of Neuro-ID and Eller Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona.

Keynote speaker Joe Valacich will discuss how sensory data collected by human interface devices such as keyboards, mice, touch pads, and touch screens can be used for insider threat detection, and how this stream of research has been commercialized via Neuro-ID, Inc.

Forum panelists will include Casey Evans, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Department of Accounting and Taxation, Kogod School of Business at American University; Jules Polonetsky, CEO of the Future of Privacy Forum; and Anthony Vance, Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Marriott School of Management of Brigham Young University.
