Join the Internet Governance Lab's Faculty Directors Derrick Cogburn, Laura DeNardis, Nanette Levinson, and Global Fellow Francesca Musiani on Tuesday, September 22nd at 12pm EST for the launch of their new book, Researching Internet Governance: Methods, Frameworks, Futures.
The event will be moderated by Anriette Esterhuysen, Chair, United Nations Internet Governance Forum's Multistakeholder Advisory Group and Senior Advisor Global and Regional Internet Governance, Association for Progressive Communications.
Special guest speakers include: Sandra Braman, Ron Deibert, Jeanette Hofmann, Eric Jardine, Rikke Frank Jørgensen, Milton L Mueller, Niels ten Oever, Kieron O’Hara, Rolf Weber.
Published by MIT Press, the new book focuses on Internet governance as a research topic on its own, providing a sense of the field and mapping different approaches, methods and theories used by multidisciplinary scholars. The collection approaches Internet governance from a diverse set of disciplinary perspectives such as political science, law, communication, information security and science and technology studies. It also offers examples of multiple research methods used by Internet governance scholars like text mining, interviews and discourse analysis.
