The Internet Governance Lab Roundtable Speaker Series continues with a session featuring Faculty Director Dr. Nanette Levinson, Associate Professor at AU’s School of International Service, entitled “What’s Learning Got To Do With It? Governing the Internet, Diffusing Ideas & Powering Policy.” The Roundtable will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2:00pm-3:30pm in SIS Room 300.

The number of entities and stakeholders dealing with elements of Internet governance continues to grow nationally, regionally, and globally. Scholars have applied a variety of lenses - and accompanying research methods - to understand, keep up with, and even diffuse ideas that may influence policy in the dynamic ‘ecosystem’ that envelops the vast panoply of actors and institutions.

This talk reports on ‘policy learning’ research that fills a gap in these approaches, recognizes an emergent ‘governance learning’ arena, and, indeed, links to other vital global governance topics including environmental and health governance.
