AU's Internet Governance Lab Junior Fellows, Kathleen Scoggin, Walker Evans, and Alisha Changani are currently participating in the Generation Connect Youth Summit. The Summit being held in Kigali, Rwanda is hosted by the UN's International Telecommuncation Union Development Sector (ITU-D), which AU alumna Doreen Bogdan-Martin leads.
The Internet Governance Lab team composed of School of International Service (SIS) undergrads is presenting findings of their research project with ITU-D which was a comparative analysis of Egypt, Slovakia, and Qatar's information and communications technology (ICT) policies regarding accessibility for people with disabilities.
The student's travel was funded by the Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration. The Internet Governance Lab Junior Fellows contributions to the event highlight them as significant Changemakers as well as the role of faculty student research (and distinguished alumni/ae-student mentoring) in the School of International Service and AU undergraduate program.
