AU's Internet Governance Lab Junior Fellows, Kathleen Scoggin, Walker Evans, and Alisha Changani are currently participating in the Generation Connect Youth Summit. The Summit being held in Kigali, Rwanda is hosted by the UN's International Telecommuncation Union Development Sector (ITU-D), which AU alumna Doreen Bogdan-Martin leads.

We are glad to announce the publication of a new open-access book by our Global Fellow and Deputy Director of the Center for Internet and Society, Francesca Musini, and Ksenia Ermoshina, a tenured researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research. The books is called Concealing for Freedom: The Making of Encryption, Secure Messaging and Digital Liberties.

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2021 kicks off on Monday, December 6th. The 16th edition is hosted by the Government of Poland under the overarching theme: ‘’Internet United’’. The Internet Governance Lab fellows and faculty will participate in several panels, presenting a range of interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Internet governance and technology policy.
