IGL-Founded GigaNet Online 2025 Symposium

The Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet) will virtually host its 2025 Annual Symposium on February 18th and 20th. The symposium contains panel discussions on the modern intersections between technological advancements and global policy. Discussion titles include “A comparative study of China and EU’s digital sovereignty,” “Contested Governance of Speech Online: Global Perspectives on Actors in Social Media Content Moderation,” and many more.

Co-founded by American University Internet Governance Lab (IGL) Co-director, Dr. Derrick L. Cogburn, the GigaNet is an international organization of internet governance scholars and academic researchers. Dr. Cogburn served as a Vice-Chair of Steering Committee member to GigaNet. IGL Co-director Dr. Nanette S. Levinson also served as a GigaNet Chair of Steering Committee member.
