Guest Talk on ICT Policies and Regulation in India

On Friday, July 13, the AU Internet Governance Lab hosted a guest talk by Dr. V. Sridhar, Professor at the Centre for IT and Public Policy at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) in India, entitled "ICT Policies and Regulation: Is India Different from Other Countries?" Dr. Sridhar's talk focused on radio spectrum management, net neutrality regulation, regulation of the app economy, and privacy regulation.

SOC Alumnus Dr. Luis Hestres Discusses Net Neutrality on Texas Public Radio

Discussing the implications of the proposed repeal on Texas Public Radio’s “The Source” on Monday, SOC alumnus and professor in digital communication at the University of Texas at San Antonio Dr. Luis Hestres described net neutrality as “the principle that internet service providers can’t discriminate against any type of data that flows through their networks.”
